Illuminations Photography was founded by Steve Ouska in 1992

Steve became a commercial photographer in 1979 working for Arthur Meriwether Incorporated and became the Director of Photography and Associate Creative Director under the mentoring of Arthur Zapel a former Vice President of J. Walter Thompson Advertising (and author of the Oscar Meyer Weiner song). Later he worked as Director of Photography for ADPRO - a top 500 advertising agency.

Steve has worked on multi-image presentations. Handling photography, special effect optics and titles, programming, soundtracks, video editing and staging across the country.

He received a Gold award from the Association of Multi-Image (AMI).

For eighteen years Steve was the exclusive photographer of TY Inc (Beanie Babies) and for many years worked directly with founder Ty Warner. Steve's photography was used to promote Ty's products in catalogs, website, advertising, editorial, billboards and in gift items. He also consulted on products and prototypes.

His location photography includes paper mills, foundries, manufacturing plants, green houses, architectural locations, golf courses, defense facilities, model homes, hospitals, banks, stores and corporate offices.

His product photography includes tools, tool boxes, furniture, jewelry, food, packaging, house wares, electronics, gifts and clothing. He has designed and built sets and props.

He has styled and shot fashion, family, engagement, corporate portraits and groups of executives around a conference table or hundreds of workers from a cherry picker. He has also photographed governors, senators and rock stars.

Events include ground breakings, dignitary tours, fund raisers, award ceremonies, weddings, birthdays and stage performances.
